Super Drawing 1o1

super drawing 1o1

Super Drawing 1o1 is the new Design 1o1 course, an online course to learn how to draw! It is a very special course because it’s the first co-production of Scuola Superiore d’Arte Applicata del Castello Sforzesco and Design 1o1. Our teacher for this journey will be Fabio Folla, drawing and illustration teacher at the school.

The aim of the course is to teach the basics of drawing through 101 exercises, starting from the basics up to more complex exercises. We will embark on this journey together with the help of Instagram and our daily emails.

The course begins Monday, December 3, 2018 and is divided into four parts:

Part 0: one preparatory week, approach to drawing

Part 1: four weeks, drawing as a search for synthesis, selection and visual analysis, freehand drawing, ability to observe and synthesize

Part 2: four weeks, the details

Part 3: five weeks, composition

see the rest of the course on instagram or youtube

we will ask you to do all your drawing exercises on a notebook of your choice, in order to have a common medium among all the students, which can be used for the final exhibition at the end of the course.

to participate in super drawing 1o1 these are the tools you need: a5 notebook with white pages (no lines or squares), pencil (a medium one, 2b), eraser, ballpoint pen (black), crayons and colored markers (even though we’ll choose only one color each). and of course the smartphone to photograph your exercises and post them on instagram.

how does it work?

first enroll this link then you’ll receive every day an email with the exercise of the day (the same exercise is also shared on our instagram account @superdrawing1o1).

you do your homework, take pictures and share on instagram using the hashtags indicated.

for those who are in milan, our teacher fabio folla will be available throughout the course to meet the students, every thursday from 2 to 3 pm, at the school (via giusti 42).

at the end of the course we will organize a big exhibition with all your notebooks here in milan, in collaboration with the school.

the course is entirely free, and for those wishing to obtain the certificate of participation at the end of the course a small fee is required.

isn’t this an amazing opportunity to learn how to draw?

we are very excited and can’t wait to get started!
